Questions
Is my PDF uploaded when I add page numbers?
No. The numbers are added in this browser tab and the PDF is saved straight to your device.
How do I add "Page 1 of 10" to a PDF?
Pick the Page 1 of 12 format, and wtfpdf fills in each page number and the last one. For your own wording, choose Custom and use {n} for the page number and {total} for the last number.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Choose Some pages and enter 2- to number from page 2 to the end. Pages left out are not counted, so page 2 shows 1 unless you change the start number.
Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. Set Start at to any whole number from 0 up.
Where can the page numbers go?
At the top or bottom of the page, on the left, in the centre or on the right.
Can I number a password protected PDF?
Yes. wtfpdf asks for the password first. The numbered PDF keeps the password and permissions of the original.
Can I add page numbers on a Mac, iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. wtfpdf runs in any modern browser on desktop and on mobile. There is no account, no watermark and no daily limit.
