How to crop a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF on the box above, or choose it from your device.
  2. Choose Trim margins and enter how much to trim from the top, right, bottom and left, in millimetres or points. Or choose Split in half to cut each page in two.
  3. Tick the pages to change, or use Select all.
  4. Select the Crop or Split button, such as Crop 3 pages. The new PDF downloads to your device.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded when I crop it?

No. The pages are cropped in this browser tab and the new PDF is saved straight to your device.

Can I crop only some pages of a PDF?

Yes. Every page has its own tick box, so you can crop one page, a few or all of them.

Is the trimmed part deleted from the file?

No. Crop sets the visible area of each page, so the edges are hidden rather than deleted. Text and images inside the page are not converted or recompressed.

How do I split a scanned book page into two pages?

Choose Split in half and a vertical cut. Set where to cut as a percentage, where 50 cuts down the middle, and pick reading order or right to left for the halves.

What is the Booklet scan option?

It is for a booklet taken apart and scanned one side at a time. wtfpdf cuts every page down the middle and puts the halves back in reading order.

Can I crop a password protected PDF?

Yes. wtfpdf asks for the password first. The cropped PDF keeps the password and permissions of the original.

Can I crop a PDF on a Mac, iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. wtfpdf runs in any modern browser on desktop and on mobile, and works offline after your first visit. There is nothing to install.
