Questions

Is my form uploaded when I fill it in?

No. The form is read and filled in this browser tab, and the filled PDF is saved straight to your device. Nothing you type leaves it.

Which kinds of fields can I fill?

Text boxes, check boxes, radio buttons, drop-down lists and list boxes. Read-only, password and file select fields cannot be filled here.

Can I sign a PDF form with wtfpdf?

No. Signature fields are shown but cannot be filled here.

Why does wtfpdf say it cannot fill my form?

The form is probably built with XFA, an older Adobe format that wtfpdf cannot fill. Open it in a PDF viewer that supports XFA forms.

How do I stop others changing what I filled in?

Tick Flatten after filling. The fields are drawn into the pages, so the values can no longer be changed.

Can I fill a password protected form?

Yes. wtfpdf asks for the password first. The filled PDF keeps the password and permissions of the original.

Can I fill in a PDF form on an iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. wtfpdf runs in any modern browser on mobile and on desktop, and works offline after your first visit. There is nothing to install.
