Questions

Is my PDF uploaded when I convert it to images?

No. The pages are drawn as images in this browser tab and saved straight to your device.

Can I convert a PDF to JPG?

No. wtfpdf saves pages as PNG images only. PNG keeps text sharp and loses no detail.

Which resolution should I choose?

Choose 72 dpi for small images for screens, 150 dpi for sharp text in most uses, or 300 dpi for print. A page over 40 megapixels at the chosen resolution is saved at a lower one.

Can I convert just one page of a PDF to an image?

Yes. Choose Some pages and enter the page number. A single page downloads as one PNG file.

How are the images named?

Each image is named after the PDF and its page, such as report-page-1.png. Several pages come together in one ZIP file, such as report-images.zip.

Can I convert a password protected PDF to images?

Yes. wtfpdf asks for the password, and any password that opens the file will do.

Does it work on a Mac, iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. wtfpdf runs in any modern browser on desktop and on mobile, and works offline after your first visit. There is nothing to install.
