Questions
Are my photos uploaded when I scan?
No. The camera preview, the photos and the PDF all stay in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
How do I scan a document with my iPhone or Android phone?
Open this page in your phone’s browser and select Open camera. It uses the back camera, and Switch camera changes to another one. There is no app to install.
Is the camera left on?
No. The camera turns on only when you tap Open camera, and off again when you tap Done.
What if my browser blocks the camera?
wtfpdf offers Take a photo instead, which opens your device’s camera app. On a computer it opens the file picker.
Can I add photos I have already taken?
Yes. Drop them on the box, or choose them with Add images. They join the scanned pages in the same PDF.
How do I make a scanned PDF smaller?
Under Image quality, choose Balanced or Smaller. Smaller stores photos at 96 dpi, which suits email and upload limits.
